Happy Labor Day

Sep 01, 2014: We wish you a wonderful Labor Day. Hope your long weekend went well :). Ours was spent in de-cluttering our household. This year our focus has been to reduce consumption, so we refrained from buying stuff through "Labor Day Sale" promotions. It feels great to get rid of stuff!

Happy Labor Day
Coming back to Labor Day and its history, here is a short quote:
Traditionally, Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. The holiday is often regarded as a day of rest and parades. Speeches or political demonstrations are more low-key than May 1 Labor Day celebrations in most countries, although events held by labor organizations often feature political themes and appearances by candidates for office, especially in election years.

Historical Meaning: Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
We hope that Labor Day will bring good luck to all :).
